What ignited the spark in you to start your business?  How did the idea for your business come about?

I lived with the ups and downs of chronic migraines, exhaustion and extra weight for most of my life. As the years went by the migraines continued to the point of, I didn’t know what it was like to not be in pain, exhausted and dealing with weight issues.  This took me on a downward spiral of being anti-social and just plain mad at the world.

I truly wanted to be happy with who I was and enjoy the company of others!

I was constantly struggling with noise of everyone’s advice and how it all had to do with my weight.

BE thin and you will be liked! BE thin and you will be happy! BE thin and you will be healthy!

I wanted to share what I had learned about food and self-worth but felt like a fraud as I was not what they said I had to be which was thin.  I came head on with my own demons of unworthiness! As I battled both the physical and emotional demons, I learned that eating whole nutritious food will not only nourishment the body, but the mind and soul as well! The better I ate, the better I felt inside and out. It is not about being thin or fat, it is about loving yourself for who you are at that moment.

I found creating whole, healthy and balanced meals was possible with a little retraining of our daily habits. Now we can plan, schedule and prep ahead for the week’s meals by breaking down the steps and helping everyone become a meal prep whiz!

Meal prep is not about weight, it is about self-love.

What is your definition of Leadership? What does leadership look like to you?

Leaders and leadership is about constantly being a student, about being open to coaching and constructive criticism and being open to your own reflection. It is about being grateful to every situation and person who comes into your life as they are there for you to continue to learn and grow.

Leaders are not about dictating instructions, but really about being of service and encouraging others to bring ideas to the table.

What does being of service means to you?

Being of service to me is all about relationships and being a good listener. It is something that I am constantly practicing at and constantly learning how to tweak it to match my life and those I am building relationships with. A lot of it has to do with remembering being of service is about a flow of give and take between people. It is not about just giving until you are depleted.  In that note being of service is something I also practice being of service on myself with self-care!!

What does success mean to you? Have you achieved a level of success that you are proud of?

Success is a state of mind! It is not an end goal! It is about living your life the way you want to. Living your dream and making the best of what you are going through at the moment as this too will pass! Yes!! I am extremely proud of my successes everyday! That in itself is a success – taking time to celebration every joyful accomplishment!
